Project Description:
My scientific career thus far has been involved in investigating the immune mechanism of hypertension. A critical barrier to improve high blood pressure treatment is lack of knowledge regarding the molecular mechanisms initiating the immune response in this disease. I am currently working in the development of a computational tool for medium-throughput screening of peptides with unnatural amino acids. Using this new tool, I am looking to study the interactions of MHC-I complex with neo-antigens by testing MHC-I/T-cell receptor studies.
